Civil Protection (Information for Residents)

Klaipeda Stevedoring Company (KLASCO) respects and cherishes the city, whose way of life and maritime business are intertwined with centuries-old cultural traditions. Valuing this connection, we continuously invest in environmental and safety measures and strive to ensure that our operations do not cause inconvenience to the residents of Klaipėda living nearby.

This information has been prepared in accordance with the Procedure for the Prevention, Response, and Investigation of Major Industrial Accidents, as well as the Procedure for Establishing the List of Hazardous Substances and Mixtures, Determining Their Qualifying Quantities, and the Procedure for Classifying Substances, Mixtures, or Preparations at Hazardous Facilities as Hazardous Substances, and the criteria for classifying such substances, mixtures, or preparations as hazardous substances, approved by Resolution No. 966 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania on August 17, 2004 (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations). In accordance with the Regulations, Klaipeda Stevedoring Company is classified, based on the current quantities of hazardous substances, as a higher-level hazardous facility subject to the requirements of the Regulations. A Safety Report for the Hazardous Facility has been submitted to the Fire and Rescue Department under the Ministry of the Interior.
