KLASCO specializes in handling: liquid and bulk fertilizers, grain and other bulk agricultural products, Ro-Ro cargo, metallurgical raw materials, metal products and more.
KLASCO operates five specialized terminals. Among them – one of the largest Ro-Ro terminal in the Eastern Baltic Sea region and one of the largest grain export terminal in Klaipeda port.

JSC “Achema” and other companies export their products through KLASCO liquid and bulk fertilizer terminals. The company’s terminals occupied an area more than 100 hectares. In covered warehouses alone, the company can store about 300 thousand tons of various cargoes for vessels. The area of open cargo storage sites is the largest in Klaipeda port. The main part of the territory is located in the Northern part of Klaipeda port near the deep-water berths with a maximum draft of 14.3 meters. It is planned to further increase the max draft in order to handle Baltmax type vessels.

The installed technologies allow to process an average of over 500 railway wagons per day, loading ships at a speed of over 20 thousand tons per day. We can also handle several types of cargo simultaneously, combining the needs of different cargo senders and consignees, together with partners taking full responsibility throughout the logistics chain.
The company is currently pursuing an extensive investment program that is geared towards a ten-year and beyond perspective to meet the growing needs of customers.

Oversized cargo handling services can be provided both in the Cargo Terminal located in the Northern part of the port, and in the Southern part of the port, on Smeltė Peninsula. The southern part is equipped with two latest generation mobile cranes “Liebherr LHM 420” (lifting capacity 124 tons) and “Liebherr LHM 550” (lifting capacity 154 tons). In both terminals, oversized cargo can be lifted by paired cranes.

The new container loaders with a lifting capacity 85 tons are perfect for the transportation of oversized cargo.

The tandem of Liebherr mobile cranes and container loaders located on the Smeltė peninsula is very well suited for loading parts of onshore wind power plants, which can be stored right here at the terminal in storage area 6 ha.

Since 2020, KLASCO has been providing a bulk import and export cargo packing service. Packing is done in big-bags volume from 400 kg to 1250 kg. Bulk product packing capacity 50-70 tons per hour.

KLASCO terminals are located in almost 100 ha area of Klaipeda port. This is about one-sixth of the total land area of the port. KLASCO terminals and warehouses are easily accessible by rail and road from both the Southern and Northern parts of Klaipeda port.

Up to 1 million tons of various cargoes can be stored in open areas and closed warehouses at the same time. The largest areas of warehouses and storage facilities are specialized for bulk and liquid fertilizers and grain. Open-area storage is mainly used for the accumulation and loading of metallurgical raw materials and metal products.

All KLASCO warehouses have the status of temporary storage / a custom warehouse.
